NOSH /näSH/ Verb: Eat food enthusiastically or greedily.
Nibble & Nosh is a chance for you and fellow dessert enthusiasts to get together, sample a variety of desserts without the guilt. Each dessert serving is only 1-3 bites. The number of desserts offered at your tasting is entirely up to you!
Who Noshes? A minimum of 8 guests is required, there is no maximum. Invite guests who love desserts. You can usually recognize them because they are the ones who have a hard time picking from the dessert menu, because everything on the menu is appealing. It is also a great event to break out of your comfort zone, try something new without worrying about paying for a large serving of a dessert you ended up not liking.
What do we Nosh with? All hostesses have the following choices:
1) Hosts provide service-ware - this means TCC will deliver all of the desserts boxed, and the hostess will provide the platters, trays, utensils, etc. TCC will set up the table for the hosts using their provided service-ware, if the host prefers at no extra charge.
2) TCC provides quality, but disposable, service-ware - this means TCC will deliver the all of the deserts, set them up using quality disposable platters, trays, and provides disposable utensils. TCC will set up the table for the hosts at not extra charge, but a small fee will be added to cover the cost of the disposable service-ware. This is convenient for hosts in the clean up process & does not require returning of the pieces to TCC.
3) TCC provides glass, silver and other high end service-ware- this means TCC will deliver all of the desserts, set them up on high end service-ware and any utensils needed will be either a high grade disposable or actual silver depending on the needs of the event. This elevates the feel of the event, but does require a REFUNDABLE deposit. Hosts will return the pieces to TCC within 3 business days of the event (unless otherwise noted at time of order) and will receive their deposit back upon this return. Any delay beyond the 3 days, unless prearranged, will result in a deduction of 10% of the deposit per day, until the items are returned.
Where do we Nosh? In most cases A Nibble & Nosh event is held in a private home, community club house. However, there will be occasions where Treasure Coast Confections will host larger "Nibble and Nosh" events that are open to the public. These dates will be announced on the home page & will be found on our calender (located on the contact & info page)
When do we Nosh? The host will set the date and time, and don't let the name fool you. A Nibble and Nosh event can be held at any time of the day. Evenings are most common, but Morning and Afternoon Noshes are always available.
How do we Nosh? The host will set the date, time and location. TCC will provide you with some menu suggestions, or you can pick your own theme for TCC to create a menu around. Perhaps you want all Dark Chocolate, maybe you want a Fall Themed Menu, or perhaps you are having a "Ladies Night in Paris". Once the menu is selected, TCC will arrive, set up the Dessert Table and then you and your guests can "nosh until your heart is content"
Why do we Nosh? Because we love desserts. We love variety. We love our guests. We love getting together. A Night to Nosh is also great when paired with Wine Tasting, and if you would prefer appetizers TCC can recommend some great local catering companies.
Why Treasure Coast Confections? For years Treasure Coast Confections has been providing high quality, delicious desserts on the Treasure Coast. It is reflected in our loyal customer base who return time and time again, and refer their friends, family and coworkers to us. In return, we felt it was time to add a new service & expand our menu, thus giving our customers something new to look forward to in 2013.
What does a "Nibble and Nosh" event cost: The prices for a "Nibble & Nosh" begin at $10 per person, this is based on a 5-6 dessert variety menu selected by Treasure Coast Confections. Hosts will have the option to upgrade desserts, have larger selections available for their guests, and the price will be adjusted to reflect those options. Consider the comparison prices from 2 local big chain restaurants that offer "small bite" menu items, in each of these you are only getting 3 desserts, no option of what you want those desserts to be & they are simply a layered trifle.
Family Restaurant: Dessert Shooter Trio - $6.00 ($1.99 sold individually)
Italian Restaurant: Little Dessert Trio - $6.95 ($2.65 sold individually)
Treasure Coast Confection will provide better value, larger selection and higher quality for the same or better price per individual item.
As the host you may choose to cover the entire cost for the evening, but it is also acceptable for events of this nature for the host to treat it more like a "club" and each attendee pays for their own portion. The advantage to the latter option, is it allows more room in the budget. Where a host may limit the budget for the event to $10 per person, since the host is paying for it all... a guest might be willing to pay $15 or more out of their own pocket to attend and have a larger selection.
Speaking of Clubs.... That may have gotten your attention. What if you and your group of friends want to make this a regular occurrence? The good news is that Treasure Coast Confections will change their menu from month to month to reflect seasonal flavors, new menu items and classic favorites on rotation. You and your guests won't have to worry about having the same things over and over again. Additionally if you book as a "Club" you will receive special pricing options and exclusive menu options.
